The First Annual Halloween Zombie Farm Festival
Once a year, every year (from this year on at least), the Zombie Farm Festival occurs at Flip Flop Ranch on the Saturday before Halloween. This halloween celebration focuses on the importance of farming as a way-the only way-of long term survival after a zombie apocalypse or some other form of civilization collapse.
During the Zombie Farm Festival, you get to learn about farming including even learning to milk a goat! But watch out for the zombies that could pop out from nowhere. You may be learning about beans when a zombie stumbles out from behind the tomatoes. Fend him off with a biodegradable “water” balloon filled with zombie repellant. If you don’t have any water balloons left then you better run before you get bit or your brains get eaten! Those who survive the day get a prize!
As well as learning about farming, you can bob for apples (for kids) or bob for shrunken heads in hard cider (for adults), or even bob for donuts! Go to the petting zoo, taste our jams and caramels, pin the face on the pumpkin, play squash bowling or go through our haunted barn. As the night wears on, go ghost hunting (we have equipment to rent) or hang out around our firepit and roast marshmallows or eat some of our homemade ice cream…but still make sure to keep an eye out for those zombies…
