Treating ant bites naturally

I hate these little suckers and of course the fire ants are even worse.  This morning I was pulling weeds in an area where there is a pipe leak so there is grass and weeds everywhere.  I waded into that area to save our Texas Wisteria vine from being overrun and got overrun myself…by dreaded ants.  Now my foot is itching like crazy.  Benadryl itch spray didn’t help and who knows what is in that crap anyways.  I typically try vinegar as most of the ants here have a base venom.  But there are some ants with an acidic venom…

Hair-like fibers in McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets?

Seriously?  This is ******** I don’t think I can legally say whether this is disgusting or not because of all the laws protecting these big companies, but you can guess what I think.  Let me just say that although I nor my company feel any negative thoughts towards any McDonald’s product, I certainly have some negative thoughts towards unidentifiable black fibers in my food…although certainly not if it was in a McDonald’s product…of course… I have no idea what these fibers are, but you know as well as I do how healthy these things are going to turn out to…

Barlett and James B. Steele No thanks: An anti-Monsanto crop circle made by farmers and volunteers in the Philippines. By Melvyn Calderon/Greenpeace HO/A.P. Images. Gary Rinehart clearly remembers the summer day in 2002 when the stranger walked in and issued his threat. Rinehart was behind the counter of the Square Deal, his “old-time country store,” as he calls it, on the fading…

Brown Sugar Icing Recipe OMG

I was perusing the internet this morning to get inspiration for a blog post.  This morning it was a bit depressing.  Turns out the IRS (of all things) is training their workers with AR-15s.  Those are assault rifles people.  Why does the IRS need assault rifles?  Are they going to shoot us for not paying our taxes?  I didn’t really want to write about this on a lovely sunday morning so I moved on. Next I found that Kraft’s Mac and Cheese has to be labeled in the UK to explain that it has GMOs and any potential harm that…
